Artist in Residence

Artist Residency

A unique opportunity for artists to explore bronze casting in a professional setting

About the program

A pilot project for a bronze artist residency is currently underway. Eventually, Van Geert Art Foundry aims to establish a permanent artist-in-residence program, making it easier for artists to take the first step toward creating their first bronze work and thereby making the craft accessible to a new generation of artists.

With our current residency pilot project, we are taking the first steps toward establishing a permanent space for learning and working where barriers are broken down and where curiosity and experimentation take center stage. In the future, we aim to expand this into a permanent program, offering multiple residencies each year in which young artists have the opportunity to further explore their materials and craft and push the boundaries of their practice.

Please contact us to discuss the possibilities. We welcome both emerging talents and experienced artists who are interested in exploring bronze casting.

"In the future, I want to position us even more clearly as a home for artists. They should feel welcome here so they can experiment and learn. I think that connection with the customer is very important. This place must remain a studio, not a factory. My ultimate dream is to bring together different art disciplines and crafts to create a more complete art and craft experience and a platform for experimentation."
