Artist in ResidenceArtist Residency
A unique opportunity for artists to discover bronze casting in a professional environment.
About the Program
A pilot project for an artist residency in bronze is currently underway. Ultimately, Van Geert Art Foundry aims to establish a permanent artists-in-residence program, to make it easier for artists to take the step towards creating their first bronze work and thus make the craft accessible to a new generation of artists.
With our current residency pilot project, we are taking the first steps towards establishing a permanent learning and working environment where barriers are removed, and curiosity and experimentation are central. In the future, we aim to expand this into a structural program, offering multiple residencies each year where young artists will have the opportunity to further explore the material and the craft, and push boundaries.

"In the future, I want to position us even more clearly as a home for artists. They should feel welcome here, so they can experiment and learn. I find that connection with the client very important. This must remain a studio, not a factory. The ultimate dream is to bring together different art disciplines or crafts for a more complete art and craft experience and experimentation platform."
